In Loving Memory of Ismael July 11, 2013 – Forever in Our Hearts 13th Anniversary Today marks 13 years since you left us, yet not a single day has passed without you being in our thoughts and in our hearts. Ismael, you were a loving husband, a devoted father, and my very best friend. You were my first love, and the love we shared continues to live in me every day. Life changed the day we lost you, but the memories you gave us and the love you filled our lives with will never fade. You were a hardworking truck driver, always out on the road, doing everything you could to provide for our family. In many ways, it still feels as though you simply left on one of your long trips. Even after all these years, the girls still say it feels like Daddy is on the road and will someday come home. That thought brings both tears and comfort, because your love has never left us. You loved our daughters—Edu, Michelle, and Kelly—with all your heart, and they carry so much of you within them. Edu has your strength and determination. She never gives up and isn't afraid of any challenge. I know you would be incredibly proud that she has become a funeral director, serving families with compassion, dignity, and kindness. Michelle has your beautiful features and your big, loving heart. She is a devoted wife whose warmth and selflessness reflect the wonderful man you were. Our baby, Kelly, is now 18 years old and getting ready for college. She dreams of studying human bones and hopes to build a career helping others. I know you would have encouraged her every step of the way. When I look at our daughters, I see pieces of you in each of them. Through their strength, their kindness, their dreams, and their hearts, your legacy continues to live on. We miss you every moment of our lives—in the milestones, the quiet moments, the laughter, and even the tears. Thirteen years have passed, but our love for you has never faded. You remain a part of everything we do, and your memory continues to guide us every single day. We find comfort in knowing that love is stronger than death, and we hold on to God's promise that one day we will see each other again. Until then, we will keep loving you, remembering you, and carrying you with us wherever life takes us.
