Maria "Rosa" del Rosario Trejo went home to Jesus on January 31st, 2021 at age 84. She was welcomed by the love of her life, Martin Trejo Sr. Her parents Juan and Paula De Los Santos. Siblings Benjamin, Juan, Joaquin, Alfredo De Los Santos, Josefa, Cabello, Velia Razo, Elizabeth De Los Santos, Delores De Los Santos. Many brothers and sisters in law. She is survived by siblings Carlos, Francisco, Samuel, Jose De Los Santos, and Paula (Isabel) Vargas. Her sons, Saul De Leon, Benjamin (Sylvia) Francisco (Kathy), Efrain, Josue (Reyna) and Martin (Cynthia) daughter Noemi (Charles) Barham. 23 grandchildren, 4 of which she raised, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her home was always open to everyone and her table was always full. She loved people and her favorite way to show her love was to feed them. Our home was always full no matter how little we had to give, there was always a lot that our parents gave. We have so many "added" brother's and sisters because they opened their home to so many. She grew her own beautiful garden so that we would always have fresh food to pick to feed the multitude that always seemed to flock to our home and gather around our table. She would say that we should always have something prepared in case we had company because you should always offer them something to eat. Her hospitality was a special gift she had. She took great pride in keeping a clean home. Rosa was a strong no nonsense woman. She may have been small in stature, but her personality was as big as life. She experienced many challenges in life and faced them head on with incredible strength and determination. She was a force to be reckoned with. It’s hard to summarize an entire life into a short paragraph because there are so many layers to her life. Our mom was a unique woman who was more than any of us can fully comprehend or even attempt to explain. One thing I know for sure is that she was loved by many, and the seeds she planted in all of us will continue on in our future generations.
