Rachel Gabrielle Cuellar Spivey

September 12, 1994 - January 27, 2021

Rachel “Rae” Gabrielle Cuellar Spivey (age 26) went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2021. Born in Oak Harbor, Washington September 12, 1994 at just 5 lbs 6 oz, Rachel came into this world determined to live her life on her own terms. Despite many difficult health conditions, she wouldn’t be deterred from experiencing everything her world had to offer her. She traveled to many states. She played in the sand and in the snow. She fell in love, got married, and made a home with her new husband, her dogs, sugar gliders, and many, many snakes. Rachel loved deeply. She loved God, her Catholic faith, her husband, her family, her exotic pets, and her many friends. Christmastime was her favorite time. She enjoyed all the small family traditions and the giant gatherings her family would have. She tried each year to give the biggest and the best gifts to her brothers and sisters. She jokingly bragged that her gifts were the best. They usually were. Her bravery and courage were an inspiration. She had a quiet strength and a beautiful soul. She was her parents’ Rachey-bear, her husband’s Love, her little sister’s Wom-bear, her baby sisters’ Rae-Rae, and her family’s Rae of Sunshine. She will be greatly missed but always tremendously loved. She lived just a little but she lived so big! In all the world, there is no heart for me like yours. In all the world, there is no love for you like mine. ~Maya Angelou Rachel is preceded in death by her sister, Karen McKenna Cuellar. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Joseph Spivey; sisters, Catherine MaryAnne Cuellar, Zoey Hazel Childs, and Amy Lee Childs; her brothers, Zachary Ervin Cuellar, and Joseph Brian Cuellar; and her parents Brian Cuellar and Miranda “Randi” Cuellar. Viewing will be from 1 pm to 5 pm on Tuesday, February 2nd at Santana Funeral Home located at 5352 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77007. The Rosary and Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, located at 527 South Houston Ave., Humble, TX 77338. The Rosary will begin at 10 am and the Mass will begin at 11 am. Interment to follow at Klein Memorial Park, located at 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, TX 77375.
