Abel Carreon

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him." With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Abel Carreon, who was called to the Lord’s presence on October 29, 2024. Born on October 26, 1943 in Gachupines, Guanajuato, he lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to his family. We take comfort knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, our mother, in heaven, where they will rest together in eternal peace. Abel was a man of unwavering faith and kindness, always ready to serve and share his love. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and devotion that will forever remain in our hearts. He is survived by his two sons, Juan and Abel Carreon; his daughter, Maria Carreon; his son-in-law, Rene Ruiz, who was like a son to him; his daughter-in-law, Teresa; and his former daughter-in-law, Nancy Monserrat, who remained devoted to our family, always making time to be present. He was preceded in death by his beloved and devoted wife, Maria de Jesus Carreon, whom he yearned to be reunited with, and his beloved daughter in law Veronica Barron, who cared for him deeply. His memory will also be cherished by his three grandchildren, Nathan Carreon, Nicole Ruiz, and Katelyn Ruiz, along with family and friends who held him close in their hearts. May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by God’s love, and may his spirit live on in the hearts of all who loved him. A memorial service will be held at Santana Funeral Directors, 5352 Katy Freeway, Houston Texas 77007 on November 4th from 2-9 pm. The rosary will be held at 6 pm. A funeral Mass will be held on November 5th at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1505 Kane St., Houston, Texas 77007. The burial will follow immediately after the Mass at Hollywood Cemetery. We invite all to join us in prayer as we honor his life and memory. A funeral reception will follow and be held at Abel’s house 145 W.Rocky Creek Rd. Houston, Texas 77076. Con profundo dolor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido padre, Abel Carreon, quien fue llamado a la presencia del Señor el 29 de octubre de 2024. Nacido el 26 de octubre de 1943 en Gachupines, Guanajuato, vivió una vida llena de amor, fe y devoción a su familia. Nos consuela saber que ahora está reunido con su amada esposa, nuestra madre, en el cielo, donde descansarán juntos en paz eterna. Abel fue un hombre de fe inquebrantable y bondad, siempre dispuesto a servir y compartir su amor. Deja un legado de fortaleza, compasión y devoción que permanecerá para siempre en nuestros corazones. Le sobreviven sus dos hijos, Juan y Abel Carreon; su hija, Maria Carreon; su yerno, Rene Ruiz, quien fue como un hijo para él; su nuera, Teresa; y su ex nuera, Nancy Monserrat, quien siempre permaneció devota a nuestra familia, siempre encontrando tiempo para estar presente. Fue precedido en muerte por su amada y devota esposa, María de Jesús Carreon, con quien añoraba ser reunido y su amada nuera Veronica Barron, quien lo cuidaba profundamente. Su memoria también será atesorada por sus tres nietos, Nathan Carreon, Nicole Ruiz y Katelyn Ruiz, junto con familiares y amigos que lo tuvieron cerca en sus corazones. Que descanse en paz eterna, abrazado por el amor de Dios, y que su espíritu viva en los corazones de todos los que lo amaron. Se llevará a cabo un servicio memorial en Santana Funeral Directors, 5352 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77007, el 4 de noviembre de 2 a 9 pm. El rosario se realizará a las 6 pm. La misa fúnebre será el 5 de noviembre a las 10 am en la iglesia católica St. Joseph, 1505 Kane St., Houston, Texas 77007.
