Amparo O. Cavazos, amablemente conocida como, Mama o Mami, nació el 23 de Enero de 1929 y ascendió al reino celestial el 15 de Enero de 2024. Con su mucha fe en Dios, mami sirvió como esposa, madre, abuela y bisabuela. Mami compartía con todos que amaba y dedicaba su tiempo y atención para asegurar que todos estuvieran felices. Su amor y bondad se reflejaba en las deliciosas comidas que preparaba y compartía con su familia y sus vecinos. Cocinar no era su unica pasión, sino también la jardinería. Mami era experta en plantar, cuidar y revivir plantas. Su jardín, bello, vistoso y fragante siempre lleno de plantas y flores de todas variedades. Se podría decir que sus plantas favoritas eran las rosas, ya que tenia varios rosales plantados alrededor de su casa. Su mayor pasión era de cuidar ninos. Ella fue bendecida con 4 hijos, 8 nietos y 10 bisnietos. Ayudo cuidar y criar 7 de sus nietos y bisnietos desde que eran bebes. Sobreviven sus dos hijas, un hijo y todos sus nietos y bisnietos. El velorio sera el Lunes 22 de Enero de 2024 en Santana Funeral Directors, 401 SSGT Macario Garcia Dr., Houston, TX 77011 de 1pm - 9pm, servicio religioso empieza a las 6pm. Servicio de entierro sera el Viernes, 26 de Enero de 2024 en Evergreen Cemetery, 900 Altic St. Houston, Tx 77023 a las 10:00am. Amparo O. Cavazos aka (mamá, mamy) was born on January 23, 1929, and ascended to the heavenly realm on January 15, 2024. Her faith in God was strong and throughout her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, mamy gave everyone she cared for all the Love, attention, and dedicated her time to making everyone happy. She always gave of herself and demonstrated her love for all by sharing her delicious meals with not only family but also neighbors which sometimes were in need. Cooking was not her only passion, gardening, was another as she was an expert at planting, caring, and even “reviving” sickly plants. Her beautiful garden was fragrant, colorful, and filled with many plants of various types but if there was a favorite it was the rose plants. She had many of these planted around her house but her love and greatest passion was caring for children. She was blessed with 4 children of her own, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She cared for 7 of her grandchildren and some of her great-grandchildren when they were infants. She is survived by her 2 daughters, son, and all grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 at Santana Funeral Directors, 401 SSGT Macario Garcia Dr., Houston, TX 77011 between 1pm and 9 pm with a religious service to be held at 6 pm. Burial service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Evergreen Cemetery, 900 Altic St. Houston, Tx 77023 at 10:00am.
