Andres "Andy" Rigoberto Tobias

Andres "Andy" Rigoberto Tobias, age 62, passed away in peace on November 10, 2021 in Houston, Texas with family by his side. Andy was born November 10, 1959 in McAllen, Texas. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents Maria De Jesus and Jose Vicente Tobias, siblings Raul Leonel, Elvira Reyes, Jose Francisco and Vicente Tobias Jr. Left to lovingly cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years Maribel R. Tobias; children Stephanie (Carlos) Benitez, Andres Tobias Jr., Michael (Monica) Tobias, Kimberly Tobias and Joe (Andrea) Tobias; grandchildren Christopher, Brianna, Brandon, Anthony, Jayden, Aaralyn, Nathan and soon-to-arrive baby Sebastian. Also surviving him are siblings Maria Salazar, Guadalupe Alvarez, Alicia Lara, Bertha Aguiluz, Ediberto Tobias, Norma Jean Cabrera, Elizabeth Bermudez, Hilda Fonseca, Charles Tobias, Norma Santana, Sandra Nerie and Oscar Tobias; an endless amount of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Andy attended and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School, where he was very well known. Whether it was with his loud Nova driving by or his bribing the teachers to be excused from class, he always had a way of making his presence known. He enjoyed fishing and classic cars, but his passion for football was always his go-to. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan until the very end, no one could interrupt his game or defend their team more than him. There was no convincing him otherwise, Dallas Cowboys was what football was all about. #DC4L Big Andy always opened his heart and home to everyone and anyone, no soul ever got turned away. He believed in giving second chances but he also let you know that you don't get something for nothing. Family was very important to him and he let that be known through the love he showed everyone. His years were filled with lots of love and beautiful memories that made his life so blessed. His smile and crazy jokes would have you rolling with tears on your worst days, which at times were his too. His grandchildren each had a special place in his heart and we know he took that love with him. He was a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother (brother-in-law), uncle, cousin and an amazing friend. He leaves a huge family behind but his love will never be forgotten.
