Aurelia Acosta Puerta

Aurelia Acosta Puerta, una bendecida madre, abuela y bisabuela, fue llamada a la paz eterna el día 30 de Marzo del año 2026, a los 92 años de edad. Como Cursillista, pasó al quinto día, visto no como un final, sino como el paso a la vida eterna en unión con Cristo. Representando la culminación definitiva de su vocación celebrando el reencuentro eterno con el Señor. Nació el 12 de Noviembre del año 1933 en el Estado de San Luis Potosí, México. Aurelia vivió una vida coherente a los valores cristianos. Tras el fallecimiento de su esposo, Leon Nino Ortiz, demostró una fuerza inmensa al guiar a sus dos hijos jóvenes a entender los valores de la integridad y el trabajo. Su puerta siempre estuvo abierta para quienes atravesaban momentos difíciles. Recibiendo frecuentemente en su hogar a familiares y amigos que necesitaban posada mientras lograban recuperarse o intentaban encarrilar sus vidas. Su devoción a la iglesia católica fue una piedra angular de su identidad. Durante décadas sirvió a las parroquias de San Leo the Great y San Carlos Borromeo. Dedicó su tiempo a la enseñanza de catecismo y participó en diversos grupos eclesiales, como Los Guadalupanos, La Legion de Maria, AMSIF, e integrante del Movimiento Cursillos de Cristiandad. Su mayor orgullo fue su familia. Le sobreviven dos hermanas, dos hijos y nueras. Su legado de amor continúa a través de sus ocho nietos y ocho bisnietos. Acosta Puerta, a blessed mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called to eternal peace on March 30, 2026, at the age of 92. As a Cursillista, she passed on to the fifth day, which she saw not as an end, but as the passage to eternal life in union with Christ. This represented the definitive culmination of her vocation, celebrating her eternal reunion with the Lord. She was born on November 12, 1933, in the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Aurelia lived a life consistent with Christian values. After the death of her husband, Leon Nino Ortiz, she demonstrated immense strength in guiding her two young sons to understand the values of integrity and hard work. Her door was always open to those going through difficult times, frequently welcoming family and friends into her home who needed shelter while they recovered or tried to get their lives back on track. Her devotion to the Catholic Church was a cornerstone of her identity. For decades she served the parishes of St. Leo the Great and St. Charles Borromeo. She dedicated her time to teaching catechism and participated in various ecclesial groups, such as Los Guadalupanos, La Legion de Maria, AMSIF, and was a member of the Cursillos de Cristiandad Movement. Her greatest pride was her family. She is survived by two sisters, two sons, and daughters-in-law. Her legacy of love continues through her eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
