Jovani Tomas Briseno,17, passed away on Wednesday the 11th of September, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on July 13, 2002 at home eager to meet the family and see the beautiful world to Patsy Mendoza and Jose De La Luz Briseno Jr. Jovani is survived by his parents Patsy Mendoza and Jose De La Luz Briseno Jr., his stepdad Miguel Aparicio, his sisters Kayla Nicole Briseno and Pearl Esperanza Briseno, his grandmothers Blanca Briseno and Isabel Mendoza, his grandfather Jose De La Luz Briseno and many more loved ones. He enjoyed listening to rap music, drawing, walking around, being with friends and smoking. He wanted to be a welder and wanted to go back to school. Jovani didn't like people looking at him, he was a lone wolf that was very stubborn. Never wearing bright colors and not wanting to stand out because he liked to stay to himself. He was very shy, and when he was the center of attention, he would have a certain smirk on his face, which everyone knew and loved. Two things he never left the house without his phone and his charger, you’d never catch him without them. His favorite things to eat were glazed donuts, cucumbers, lasagna, and tortillas de harina with chorizo and frijoles. Jovani was a brother like no other, although he picked on us, he had a specialty of making us laugh and smile when we were not in a good mood. The gorgeous distinctive smile he was given were so contagious and made so many people happy when he entered the room. He touched the lives of everyone around him with his sarcasm and jokes. He was so honest and loyal it was a curse, but J always kept it real and he was known for that. The only opinion he cared for was his, he always did what he wanted to do no matter the judgement. Jovani was overprotective of his family, he would get mad over the smallest things. He was and forever will be a unique soul. Jovani will be remembered as a very devoted and authentic son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin. He was an angel taken too soon and will be missed dearly by everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He was strong, courageous and loving, and will forever be in our hearts. We will forever cherish our memories with you and make sure you're never forgotten. May you rest in peace and continue sharing your infectious smile with whomever, wherever you may be. Now you fly with your wings, and you fly high. We love you J and we will meet again.
