Marcela "BeBe" Domiguez

Marcela “BeBe” Dominguez, 51 years old of Houston, Texas passed away on August 30, 2019 at 8:43 a.m., with her family by her side. BeBe was born to the late Rodolfo Dominguez and Adela Dominguez on March 16, 1968. She is survived by her four children: Ashley S. Redmond, Roy Lee Redmond, Jr., Amber D. Leonard and son Xavier Leonard. BeBe is also survived by her son-in-law, Elliott Murphy and 8 beautiful grandchildren which were the source of her happiness: Kali A. Hughes(10), Elliott Liam Murphy, Jr.(6), Mallory N. Murphy(4), Alana L. Redmond(8), Raegan L. Redmond(3), Austin Leonard(8), Anthony Jefferson, Jr.(6) and Amirah Jefferson(3months). She is also survived by her mother, Adela; sisters: Virginia Perez, JoAnn Martinez and Leticia Dominguez; brothers: Raul Uriegas, Lucio Uriegas, Rodolfo Dominguez, Jr. and Abel Dominguez; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. BeBe was predeceased by her father and two brothers, Fernando “Rick” Uriegas and Jose Uriegas. Marcela “BeBe” Dominguez was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. On the exterior, BeBe didn’t have much. She wasn’t wealthy or draped in jewels. She didn’t have expensive clothes or even a big house. But there was one very important thing that BeBe did possess which was priceless – she had a heart of gold! BeBe had unconditional love for those in her circle. If she had it – you had it. No questions asked! She loved to cook and feed the people she cared for. BeBe especially loved her grandchildren most of all. She gleamed with pride each time she spoke of them, shared their photos or spoke of their accomplishments. BeBe made a promise to “right her wrongs” through them, and she fulfilled that promise because their Golden Grandma as she was dubbed, meant the world to them! BeBe was a magnet to most of the children and teens in the family. They were drawn to her child-like, carefree spirit and uncanny sense of humor. She understood and related to them in a way that made them feel comfortable enough to seek her often and miss her when it was time to part ways. She was indeed a special soul. BeBe gave her very last to everyone around her without any expectation of anything in return. That is what I knew and loved most about her. That is the person that so many people knew and loved. If you ever wanted to know something, just ask BeBe. She was honest to a fault. It didn’t matter what judgments were passed...she was REAL! The good, the bad and the ugly, what you see is what you get! There were no surprises. She didn’t bite her tongue and you never had to watch your back when it involved her because you always knew where y’all stood. She’s that person that would go to battle for you, and, also that person you didn’t want to be in a battle with. Strong, courageous and fearless is how she will be remembered. Can you imagine living every aspect of your life exactly how you wish without a single care in the world of what people thought? What a relief that must be. That’s exactly how BeBe lived, and exactly how she left us. She lived by her own rules. Now, she flies with her own wings. Family, friends, and others whose lives BeBe touched are invited to Santana Funeral Directors located at 5352 Katy Fwy., Houston, Tx. 77007 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 to reminisce, grieve, and support each other. There will be a special tribute at 2:30 p.m. in honor of Marcela “BeBe” Dominguez.
