Celebration of life for Rodney “Smiley” Pacheco Rodney “Smiley” Pacheco age 57, of Houston, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, September 2, 2022. Smiley was born on January 30, 1965, to Joe and Lallie Pacheco. He attended Reagan High School in the Houston Heights area. He left school and started a career in painting vehicles for our family business for many years. Smiley was preceded in death by his father; Joe Pacheco, Lallie Smith (Serrano), and numerous family members. He is survived by his sisters, Cynthia, Vicki, and Jennifer. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and family members that he loved and cherished tremendously. It’s said that we live life in the (-) dash between our birth day and the day we die. Today heaven gained an angel that lived life to its fullest dash…from riding in his 63 Impala down the streets of the Heights back in the 80’s, and then a lowrider convoy with his homies all the way to Memorial Park on Sundays to show off his pride and joy. Smiley was always ready to enjoy life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends and would always be there to lend them a hand, paint a car, show bike or just offer them a simple smile. He was always smiling; even when he was in trouble he would have that smile, and so he was given his nickname “Smiley”. We know that our Mom was waiting for him at those pearly gates of Heaven. Smiley is now cruising the streets of gold in his better than ever lowrider and truly celebrating his home coming with Jesus. We will surely miss his presence and that wonderful inviting smile. Our Brother never met a stranger in his life here on earth and we are sure he is in Heaven making lots of new friends. We were all so blessed to get to share many years of the (-) dash with Smiley. He is now with his Mom and Dad, Grandparents and lots of other family and friends in the presence of our Lord and Savior. A Celebration of Life will take place at Santana Funeral Home, 5352 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77007 on 9/21/2022, 4pm - 7pm. Also, if you could drive your lowrider to the funeral home in his honor and as one last ride for our brother Smiley would mean the world to us and have him smiling down from Heaven and see the outpouring of this gesture.
